A little about
Ford Farm

Ford Farm are a cheese producer based near Dorchester in Dorset. Their award winning cheeses include Cave Aged Cheddar and Coastal Cheddar, and can be found in supermarkets across the country. We were asked to design a new website for Ford Farm, to put as much care and attention into their online presence as they put into their cheese making.

Website Design

Key to the Ford Farm brand is their idyllic Dorset location and traditional methods of cheese making, which were important to put across on the website. To showcase their impressive range of cheeses we created a series of extended pages, each with a unique style and design to represent each cheese’s branding. An e-commerce section was integrated into the website to facilitate online sales. A recipe section was included to enable Ford Farm to engage with their viewers and to offer inspiration for new and exciting meals that include their cheeses.

The Ford Farm website was a pleasure to build, and we’re looking forward to an ongoing relationship as their impressive range of cheeses continues to grow and to be enjoyed around the world.

What the
Client Said

I needed to find a website designer for my client who make cheese and who haven’t changed their website for ten years and I actually discovered Good Design Works through a google search. What caught my eye was the design of their own website – what better recommendation is there? When Geoff came to see us, he was plunged into a room with six different people, all clamouring for different things. Instead of ending up utterly confused (which most people would have done, including me) he calmly wrote everything down, went away to interpret the brief and came back with a draft layout which absolutely hit the spot.

I have been working with Lucy over the past few weeks on the refinement of the website. She is a complete joy, helpful, knowledgeable, creative and endlessly patient. What we have ended up with is a website that not only does quite a complicated job but that we are genuinely proud of too.

Thanks guys. And we look forward very much to a continued relationship with you!
