A little about Restaurant Roots
Since opening it’s doors in 2015, Restaurant Roots has received many awards including a recommendation from the Michelin guide and 2 AA rosettes. Located a stones throw from the sandy beaches of Boscombe, this intimate, relaxing tasting menu restaurant is rated as one of the best restaurants in Dorset in the Good Food Guide.
Website Design
Simplicity is key
Our website design for Restaurant Roots had to reflect the brand’s stylish, high-end image. We opted for a minimalist design to tie in with the Roots tasting menu of small, delicate dishes. Lots of white space and padding has been used to give the website a real sense of airiness and elegance. Carefully positioned calls to action have been used to great effect to allow users to effortlessly and intuitively navigate to different areas of the website to discover more about Restaurant Roots and ultimately encourage them to make a reservation.
In order to accept reservations online, the website has been integrated with ‘ResDiary’, a third party hospitality booking platform that allows users to view and book available dates and time slots. The system then automatically updates the Roots booking calendar and sends a notification to the restaurant team.
We also created an exclusive voucher design to match the classy Restaurant Roots branding and built an E-commerce shop section on the website which allows users to purchase and receive an electronic copy of the gift voucher.
